The unrevealed light

In 2012 the community of Brown's Town in the garden parish of St. Ann was graced with this Community College of high strides.  But inspite the tidal waves of school fees and own location it managed to climb the academic and skills training ladder.

The population was only 5 when it first took roots in the semi-populated Town, but was cushioned by the Apostolic teachings and prayers.  Many of the training sessions have to date been held at the church in the areas of religion and workplace, gay tourism and people management.

The College has utilizes syllabus for Associate degree and Diploma courses.   The trainees are guided and placed at Sandals Ochi Beach Resort for the Hotel training and job placements which have moved the College to the top of the tourism market.  Many trainees however, after completing the HTP move to cruise ship, other hotels and the airport to show off their expertise.

From across the Board of Directors, the trainees are kept focused on academics and social displays of moral standards.  After all they all are taught Ethics and people management.

The College is school fee funded and with the governing body Ministry of Education.  From its foundation it has been nested with American Society of Travel Agents (ASTA) and is the only registered Travel & Tourism College in the Caribbean, The Jamaica Tourist Board Tourism Action Club and International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Challenge Travel & Tourism College is a non-profit organization destined to mold mind to aspire academic dreams and visions through its structured walls of discipline, loyalty to serve and right upbringing.  Regular class schedules are 8:30 am to 2:30 pm from Mondays through Fridays.

After a 10 month Diploma trainees who are granted Honors will be given partial scholarship to further education in the desired field.  The requirements for graduation are basics: good conduct, punctuality, team relationship and academic standard kept throughout course.

The entire core curriculum revolves around act utilitarianism ...teaching the young mind to develop skills to maintain a stable economy (the greater good).  Each learner has to understand basic concepts of self-development.  It is a pre-requisite for entry, and 3 CXC/GCE exams.  However, at the discretion of the College Board trainee are accepted into preliminary or basic classes to further enter into regular course areas.

Over the course of the College lifetime, it has seen more than 400 entries into various courses and 6 graduation exercises.  the wealth of knowledge from the Lecturers/Trainers has been molding minds and creating a demand on the hospitality for these graduates.

It is our desire to serve a diverse community and still after competing with any other Colleges or programs reach a zenith in skills training and success.
